I definitely do not understand why people go ga-ga over an expensive coffee! Number one, i HATE coffee and starbucks isn't really my choice of an afternoon or nightime hang out.
Trying to rationalize why filipinos choose to spend 60% of their salary over a coffee that would just go slide out the urinary system, i figured out, that it is the status.
To hell with the money, as long as the public sees them sitting and sipping a luxurious liquid and just later on starve to death.
Earlier, I was at starbucks Sky Dome, I looked at the crowd, typicaly middle to upper middle class peeps. Maybe, things have evolved, it's the lounging and catching up with friends that makes starbucks worth the BUCKS!
In my case, i would still not spend 150 pesos over a cup of liquid to get on with the day, I only do it for friend's sake!
And besides, 150 could already amount to 3 bottles of beer!
P.S. Do we really need to eat the doughs with knife and fork?
